Sheila Simchon Ashkenazi is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed/Certified School Psychologist in both Florida and New York. With nearly two decades of experience in education and mental health, she brings a uniquely comprehensive perspective to assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic support for children, teens, and adults.

 

Sheila holds dual master’s degrees in School Psychology and Clinical Social Work and has spent her career working at the intersection of learning, behavior, and emotional well-being. She specializes in psychoeducational evaluations for children and adults, including assessments for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and learning differences, helping individuals and families better understand their strengths, challenges, and pathways forward.

 

In addition to her clinical work, Sheila has served in leadership roles, including Clinical Director and Director of Testing, where she developed standardized assessment protocols, supervised clinicians, and ensured the highest standards of care, accuracy, and ethical practice. She has also trained educators and professionals on best practices for supporting neurodiverse learners and has contributed to New York State advisory councils focused on improving access to education and support services.

 

Sheila is known for her thoughtful, direct, and compassionate approach. She believes that meaningful change starts with understanding and that every individual deserves to feel seen, capable, and supported in reaching their full potential. Her work focuses not just on identifying challenges, but on building practical strategies, confidence, and long-term success.
